WORLD'S LARGEST CROCHET BALL
COMPLETED BED
It takes approximately 8 hours to make one bed. The bed is generally 3 ft wide and 6 ft long. It takes anywhere between 500-700 bags to make one bed. The ball shown above will make approximately a bed and a half. The homeless neighbors place their blanket on top of the bed for extra cushion, protection from the damp cold ground, and to keep the heat in. Beds are creative colors depending on the bags that were cut and tied together. A variety of bags can be used such as grocery bags, dry cleaning bags, garbage bags, and etc. When cutting strips from the bags, it is important to cut the strips thinnner for thicker bags (see written instructions).
